Crowley's Thoth Tarot Version C "Green Toth"
The Thoth Tarot which features very unique card designs and artistic direction is a collaboration between the famous occultist Aleister Crowley who designed the deck, and Lady Frieda Harris who painted the illustrations.
This very popular divination tarot created between 1938 and 1943 is notable for having major arcana re-ordered and renamed to allow what Crowley calls the "double zodiac loop" for tarot reading. We note that the suit of disks replace the suit of pentacles found in the Waite-Smith decks and many cards have different names. In particular the Knights replace the Kings, The Knights become the Princes and the Pages are replaced by the Princesses.
This version, commonly referred as version C or Green Toth due to its green hue, is the first one to introduce the black Thelemic Hexagram symbol card. It also adds borders around the card art, has a more legible font and includes Hebrew letters and symbol
